Rocca farm, composed by ‘’Don Cataldo’’ and ‘’Vignali Grandi’’ estates, approximately 100 hectares, is located at around three kilometres far from the splendid Ionian coast, in Leverano, in the heart of Salento.
The land is an average blend of clayey-calcareous soil, even tufaceous in some points.
The influence of the sea and the warm weather typically Mediterranean together with passion in management, modern technologies and a great care in grapes’ selection, allows a constant production of an excellent level.
The 'autochthonous' vines Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Nero di Troia and Primitivo, greatest expression of these prolific and fruitful lands are destined to the region’s typical wines production, such as Leverano DOC.
Montepulciano and Lambrusco varietals with the 'international' Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, installed in recent years, have already been showing their superb qualitative characteristics.
As far as the white berry vines are concerned, we have the youngest and most curious Vermentino together with a generous and excellent Chardonnay.
To make this place unique the old farm was renovated keeping those typical elements of the rural tradition of Salento: star and barrels vaults together with Lecce stone.
